Start and Complete CDL the training and licensing process with us. We have an ELDT program that can be completed online and on-site, as well as provide a classroom theory training for individuals and companies to help you finish at your own pace. Once you have your CLP, we will schedule you for our Behind-The-Wheel CDL training to finish the process.
To successfully complete your Class A CDL training, you will need to complete classroom training through an ELDT-approved theory training program. In addition, you will need to get a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) which requires completion of the basic knowledge points covered in the FMCSA class material and submission to the Training Provider Registry through your chosen course provider. Upon receiving your certificate of completion, you can move onto Step 2 of your training.
After completing your theory training, you will need to visit your local DPS/DMV office to take a written exam. This final written exam is required for any theory cdl training and must be administered by the state. Once you have passed this written exam, you will receive your CLP permit license which will open the door to BTW training and Step 3.
Our one week, on site, complete cdl training program begins every Monday at 8 A.M. An instructor will take you through a 38 hour, Monday-Friday, comprehensive hands-on training done on site. Testing will be done on Saturday with students having full access to vehicle use for final exams. We can assist with finding accommodations for individuals or groups during your week stay.
You will be required to complete steps 1 & 2 before becoming eligible to begin your Behind-The-Wheel cdl training, however, it is not required in order to schedule. BTW scheduling can be done at any point during steps 1 or 2. Please contact our team in order to make your appointment. Completion of your ELDT range and public roads training will qualify you to move on to step 4, the final step.
The state skills exams is going to be your final step of the process. We will set you up with a time over the weekend for testing and upon completion, you will receive your new license endorsement.
Everything has been leading up to this, the final skills exam. By this point of your training, it will just be routine for you. Our cdl training and curriculum focus on teaching you through the same structure as your final skills test, meaning you shouldn’t experience anything you haven’t already. An exam will be given over the weekend to determine each driver’s abilities. Upon proving proficiency in all required areas of the Hands-On training, you will have completed your CDL licensing process. All there is left to do is get that new license and begin your new direction.
